Family data
Legatree stores family profiles, relationships, places, photos, invite codes, and optional health-related notes so your family can build a private tree. Access is controlled by family membership, admin role, and profile privacy choices.
The Legatree Guarantee
Family data is never sold to advertisers or data brokers. Legatree shares only the limited data needed by service providers that operate a feature, and families control who can see their family information through invitations, membership permissions, and profile privacy choices.
Address search
Address searches send the address text and an optional location bias to Geoapify so Legatree can return accurate suggestions and map coordinates. Profile names are not included in those lookup requests. Geoapify handles that lookup data under the Geoapify Privacy Policy.
Invites
Invite previews show limited information before a person joins. Admin-created invites may approve invitees automatically. Member-created invites require admin approval before the new person appears on the tree.
Health information
Health fields are optional family-history notes, not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or a clinical record. Do not use Legatree as an emergency, medical-care, or regulated health-record system.
Deletion and access requests
You can request account deletion or data handling review from settings. Removing login access can preserve a family tree node while detaching the account used to sign in.
