Terms of Service
Private family use
Legatree is for building and sharing family history with trusted people. You are responsible for the accuracy, permission, and sensitivity of the information you add.
Respectful content
Do not upload unlawful, harmful, invasive, or non-consensual content. Family admins may manage profiles, relationships, invites, and joined accounts within their family.
No medical advice
Health and genetic relationship features are informational family-history tools only. They do not replace medical professionals, genetic counselors, or emergency services.
Account actions
You may change your own login email after reauthentication and email confirmation, reset your password, request deletion, leave a family, or remove your own login access while preserving the family tree node when allowed by last-admin protections. Family admins can remove membership, but they cannot change another person’s login email or delete their account.
Address data
Legatree address suggestions and geocoding are powered by Geoapify and open data, including OpenStreetMap. Address data is subject to the applicable Geoapify terms and OpenStreetMap attribution.
